How Much To Order

IMPORTANT: The price shown is PER TILE.

Each tile covers exactly 0.25 square metres. (As a guide, exactly 4 tiles cover 1 square metre).

To Calculate Tiles Needed:

Measure your floor area: Length (in metres) x Width (in metres) = Total Area (in m²).

Calculate your tiles: Multiply your Total Area by 4 (since 4 tiles make up 1m²). Alternatively, you can divide your total area by 0.25.

Example: For a 20m² area: 20 x 4 = 80 tiles. (Note: If your calculation results in a decimal, always round UP to the next whole tile).

General Guide: You will need exactly 4 tiles per square metre.

Pro Tip: We strongly recommend adding an extra 5-10% to your total order. This allows for edge cuts, potential waste, and having a few handy spares for the future.

Easy Installation Steps for Your Tiles:

Get Ready: Let Tiles Adjust & Prep Floor

These tiles are made from strong, recycled PVC. Like many materials, they expand a bit when warm and shrink when cool.

Important: Leave the tiles flat in the room where you'll install them for 24 hours beforehand. This lets them get used to the room's temperature.

It's best to install them when the room temperature is between 10°C and 30°C.

Can't wait 24 hours? Unpack the tiles right away. When you install, make sure to leave a small expansion gap (about 5-10mm, or 1/4" to 3/8") between the edge tiles and any walls or fixed objects. This gives them space to expand later.

Clean your existing hard floor thoroughly. Sweep or vacuum up all dirt and dust so you have a clean base to work on.

Tools & Cutting:

You only need simple tools: A rubber mallet (use this to tap joints together firmly – it won't damage the tiles like a metal hammer might) and a sharp utility knife (like a Stanley knife) for cutting.

If you need to cut tiles to fit against walls or around corners, use the utility knife. Score the line firmly and bend to snap, or cut through carefully.

Laying the Tiles:

For the best look, start laying tiles from the centre of the room outwards. This helps make any cuts at the edges look more even.

Use the rubber mallet to gently tap the interlocking edges together for a snug fit.

Finishing the Edges:

If you have open edges (like in a doorway where the tiles stop), use our Ramped Edges for a safe, sloped transition. These are designed to fit these tiles and are sold separately.

Do You Need Glue? (Usually Not!)

On most hard, flat floors, the tiles lock together securely and you don't need any glue.

However, we recommend gluing the tiles down in these specific cases:

In areas with very heavy traffic, especially where things like forklifts or heavy pallet trucks make sharp turns.

In places exposed to lots of direct sunlight for long periods (like shop windows or south-facing loading bay doors), as the heat can cause extra expansion. Use a suitable adhesive recommended for PVC flooring if needed.

Cleaning Your New Floor:

Keeping your floor clean is easy! Just use a damp mop for regular cleaning (a mild, pH-neutral cleaner is best).

For tougher dirt, you can safely use a floor scrubber or a hand scrubbing brush.
